The chase began on Interstate 684 in Westchester near mile marker 15 on Tuesday, March 26 just before 1 a.m., when the suspect vehicle fled after police tried stopping it for speeding, according to Trooper AJ Hicks from the New York State Police.

Troopers eventually ended the pursuit because of the high speeds at which the suspect vehicle was traveling.

This same vehicle was later found unoccupied in New Castle by Westchester County Police. An investigation into the incident is now ongoing, Hicks said.
